No. CAParkManager is not currently an HCD-approved park manager training provider.

That answer matters because California park operators should not confuse unofficial education, forms, checklists, templates, or readiness tools with official HCD-approved training.

CAParkManager provides practical preparation and organization support. It does not replace official training.

What HCD-Approved Training Means

HCD states that California law requires at least one person employed as a manager, or acting in an onsite or offsite managerial capacity for each mobilehome park and recreational vehicle park, to receive training and examination from an HCD-approved third-party provider.

HCD also states that training includes six to eight hours of initial training with an online examination, followed every two years by two to four hours of follow-up coursework and another online examination.

That is the official training lane.

CAParkManager is not claiming to satisfy that requirement.

What CAParkManager Provides

CAParkManager helps California mobilehome and RV park operators organize the practical side of park management.

That includes:

  • Park operations binder setup
  • Documentation checklists
  • Maintenance request tracking
  • Resident communication logs
  • Complaint documentation
  • Rule violation records
  • Vendor quote tracking
  • Inspection preparation
  • Emergency preparedness organization
  • Training completion tracking
  • SOP outlines
  • Official source update logs

The goal is simple: help small park operators stop running everything from memory, scattered papers, and text messages.

What CAParkManager Does Not Provide

CAParkManager does not provide:

  • HCD-approved park manager training
  • Legal advice
  • Attorney review
  • Government approval
  • Guaranteed compliance
  • Official certification
  • Replacement for an HCD-approved provider
  • Replacement for HCD, local enforcement agencies, or licensed professionals

If you need official training, use an HCD-approved provider.

If you need legal advice, talk to a qualified attorney.

If you need official compliance direction, check HCD or your local enforcement agency.

Why CAParkManager Exists Anyway

Small park operators still need help before, during, and after official training.

A person can complete training and still have no clean binder, no maintenance tracker, no complaint log, no vendor file, no inspection checklist, and no system for remembering deadlines.

That is where CAParkManager fits.

It helps operators prepare the paperwork and operational structure around the official requirements.

Who CAParkManager Is For

CAParkManager is built for:

  • California mobilehome park operators
  • California RV park operators
  • Small park owners
  • Resident managers
  • Part-time park managers
  • Family-run parks
  • Mom-and-pop operators
  • New managers trying to get organized
  • Operators preparing for inspections
  • Parks that still rely heavily on paper records

It is especially useful for small parks that do not have a corporate compliance department.

Why the Distinction Matters

The distinction protects both the park operator and the brand.

A park operator should not buy a checklist and think official training is done.

A park manager should not print a binder and think that replaces HCD-approved coursework.

And CAParkManager should not imply approval it does not have.

The honest position is stronger:

CAParkManager helps you prepare. HCD-approved providers handle official training.
